Cruising the Inland Waterways of France & Belgium
"The rivers and canals of France & Belgium are a very fine cruising area. Many people use them as a way through to the Mediterranean, but they have tremendous possibilities as a purely inland cruise. Just a few of the attractions are: Calm waters, no need to worry about weather forecasts and gale warnings. Varied scenery which is often very beautiful. Fine towns where you can usually park your boat close to the centre more easily than you could park your car. Fascinating little villages. Modest costs even with the licence fee. Incomparable food and drink. "Cruising the Inland Waterways of France & Belgium" is compiled by those who have been there and gives an idea of what the area is like, what challenges have to be overcome, what equipment and paperwork is needed, and many items of interest to the cruising sailor. It provides an up to the minute addition to the Carte-Guides. This is the 14th edition and was updated in the winter of 2009. 136 pages. Size 24.5 cm x 19 cm."

The Cruising Almanac 2009-2010
The 2009-10 edition is the fourth edition of the Cruising Almanac in its current form. In this edition, the general order of the ports remains the same starting at Lands End, round Britain in an anti-clockwise direction, then round Ireland starting at Valentia. The order on the continental coast starts at the French/Belgian border, runs east towards the Baltic and then from Dunkerque, west and south towards Gibraltar. New ports and plans have been added to the Scottish, Irish, approaches to the Baltic, and West France sections. There are 11 sets of tidal stream diagrams, normally related to Dover, but in the case of Portland Bill, to Plymouth. Being an Almanac, as well as the pilotage information, tide tables are also included. Tidal information for 2009 is provided with the initial purchase together with a postcard to apply for a free set of the tide tables for 2010. We advise that you return your card immediately, so that it doesn't get lost. P&P UK customers: £7.50 INTERNATIONAL customers: rates vary, contact the office if necessary.
